The Freehold Regional High School District, or FRHSD, is the largest district in New Jersey; composing of six high schools that reside in their respective areas such as Colts Neck Township (Colts Neck High School), Freehold Township (Freehold Township High School), Freehold Borough (Freehold High School), Howell Township (Howell High School), Manalapan Township (Manalapan High School), and Marlboro Township (Marlboro High School). In addition to these distinguished schools, there are six Specialized Learning Centers that are offered to students in which are admitted on a selective basis: Business Administration at Marlboro, Humanities at Howell, Contemporary Global Issues at Freehold Township, Medical Sciences at Freehold, Science and Engineering at Manalapan, and Law and Public Service at Colts Neck. The Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD) was founded on October 6, 1953 and enrolls students in grades 9-12. The FRHSD also provides a Fine and Performing Arts Academy, Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management Academy, Computer Science Academy, Navy JROTC Character and Leadership Academy, Automotive Technology Academy, Law Enforcement and Public Safety Academy, and an Animal and Botanical Sciences Academy. With all these resources given to each student within the Freehold Regional High School District, they will become sought after individuals amidst a sea of colleges.
